Description
Nuedexta® (dextromethorphan 20 mg / quinidine 10 mg) Capsules – Bottle of 30 Capsules
Product Description:
Nuedexta® is a prescription medication that combines dextromethorphan and quinidine to treat pseudobulbar affect (PBA), a condition characterized by uncontrollable laughing or crying episodes associated with certain neurological conditions, such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Dextromethorphan is an NMDA receptor antagonist that works to regulate mood, while quinidine is used to slow the metabolism of dextromethorphan, allowing it to remain effective for longer periods. Nuedexta provides relief from the emotional outbursts associated with PBA, helping to improve patients’ emotional stability and quality of life.
