Linzess® is a prescription medication that contains linaclotide, a guanylate cyclase-C agonist, used to treat irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) in adults. Linzess works by increasing the secretion of chloride and water into the intestines, which helps to soften stools and stimulate bowel movements.
