Product Description:
Jardiance® is a prescription medication containing empagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, used to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Empagliflozin works by preventing the kidneys from reabsorbing glucose, which allows the excess glucose to be eliminated through the urine, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Jardiance also provides significant cardiovascular benefits, including reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease.
