Description
Advair HFA 115/21
(Fluticasone Propionate 115 mcg / Salmeterol 21 mcg)
Description:
Advair HFA 115/21 is an inhalation aerosol used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults and children aged 4 years and older. This combination medication contains fluticasone propionate (115 mcg), a corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, and salmeterol (21 mcg), a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) that relaxes the muscles around the airways to improve airflow.
By targeting both inflammation and bronchoconstriction, Advair HFA 115/21 helps to control asthma symptoms and prevent asthma attacks, as well as provide sustained relief of COPD symptoms. This inhaler is for maintenance therapy and should be used regularly as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. It is not for the immediate relief of acute symptoms or sudden breathing problems.
Key Features:
- Dual-Action Combination: Contains fluticasone propionate (115 mcg), a corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, and salmeterol (21 mcg), a LABA that helps to open the airways for improved breathing.
- Convenient Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI): The Advair HFA inhaler is a metered-dose inhaler that delivers a precise dose of medication with each puff. It provides consistent and reliable dosing for asthma and COPD patients.
- Long-Lasting Symptom Control: Provides up to 12-hour relief with just two inhalations daily (morning and evening), helping to control asthma and COPD symptoms throughout the day and night.
- Convenient and Portable: The compact and portable MDI is easy to use, requiring no priming or preparation, making it a convenient treatment option for patients.
